Where to eat

Picnic

You’re welcome to bring your own food and snacks to enjoy during your day at the Zoo. There are picnic tables throughout the Zoo for when you need a moment to rest and refuel. There are a few water fountains in the Zoo, but it pays to bring a water bottle with you.

Mojo Zoo

Mojo Zoo is right by the Zoo entrance, and serves great coffee so you can get your caffeine hit for the day, as well as a wide range of tasty food. Choose from delicious counter snacks, or order from the menu for a full meal. All chicken, pork, and egg products at Mojo Zoo are free-farmed.

The Grazing Post

The Grazing Post is located in the centre of the Zoo, and is the go-to stop for a quick bite to eat while you’re exploring the Zoo. You’ll find a range of hot foods such as nachos and hot chips. The Grazing Post also has a range of drink options and snacks such as fresh fruit, yogurt pots, whole food bars, crisps, ice-creams and cookies.

Pushchairs

Covid-19 Update: Pushchairs will not be available for hire during Level 2. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

You can hire a pushchair when you visit the Zoo to help your young ones enjoy their day. They’re just $10 to hire, with a $10 bond (which we’ll give you back when you return it).

Accessibility

Caregivers

Caregivers of disabled persons are given complimentary entry to the Zoo upon presentation of suitable supporting documentation or identification.

Mobility parking

We have four designated mobility car parks in the Newtown Park car park right next to the Zoo, and one right outside Mojo Zoo.

Wheelchairs

Covid-19 Update: Wheelchairs will not be available for hire during Level 2. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

Wheelchairs are available free of charge – just ask our friendly Visitor Advisors when you arrive. There are toilets with wheelchair access throughout the Zoo. The Zoo is on a hill, and our Visitor Advisors can show you which pathways are more accessible.

Assistance dogs

Please contact us if you would like to bring an assistance dog with you. We just need to make sure that they have been fully vaccinated before you arrive.
